The season of Philip Caicedo it was probably the worst of his career.
SUPER ENGAGEMENT – Lazio greeted not without mutual regrets, in the summer panterone Ecuadorian had accepted the court of Genoa, willing to guarantee him one annual salary of 2.5 million euros net until June 2024 which made him by far the highest paid of the red and blue rose. Not even in the presence of his mentor Simone Inzaghi, however, for the Pantera things went well. In six months in the shadow of the Madonnina the campo has become an even more impalpable mirage than it had been in Liguria. Three minutes against Genoa, one with Fiorentina and an abundant quarter of an hour in the now useless last match with Sampdoria: this is the loot collected by the former Lazio player in the semester spent on loan with the Nerazzurri. Really too little to convince Marotta and his associates to proceed with that eventual redemption of the card agreed with Genoa in the middle of winter.
Moral of the story, with Genoa in Serie B that does not want and cannot afford to pay such a high salary to its own cardholder and with Inter that has not received the expected answers from the boy, Caicedo’s future remains an unknown factor. She made even more uncertain by that pharaonic engagement that risks turning into a very heavy ballast both for him and for the Griffin.
