Silver at the German Kata Championships – Judo Verband Berlin eV

After two successful demonstrations of the “katame no kata” Udo Tietz and Leonardo Tetzeli from Rosador achieved second place at the German Kata Championships.

The German Kata Championships took place on 28./29. May 2022 in Hamburg. The championship titles were awarded in nine competitions. Only one kata pair from Berlin took part in the competition.

Udo Tietz (SC Charis 02) and Leonardo Tetzeli von Rosador (TuS Wannsee 1896) started in the “Katame no kata” with the largest field of participants of the championships on Sunday.
With the 7th place in Elz last year, the duo had already gained “championship experience”. This year, after a very good performance, they moved into the final block with 3rd place in the preliminary round. There, too, they kept their cool, scoring even more points and beating some experienced couples.
Udo and Leo were able to win their first national medal. Congratulations on silver!
