The National Flower bets on the Associative Tournament, was champion in 2021 and now wants to achieve the second in a row. He has gone 24 games without losing and is shaping up to celebrate again at the venue.
Since the arrival of Eduardo Blengini as head coach and the restructuring of professional basketball, the El Ceibo Association has established priorities and one of them is well marked by the competition in the Associative Tournament.
The “Flor Nacional” was champion in November 2021 sweeping with 14 consecutive wins, 10 in the Regular Phase, “sweeping” El Tala in the semifinals and then doing the same in the final with Almafuerte de Las Varillas. Blengini never speculated, although he was playing the leading role in the Provincial (which ultimately won and was promoted to the Federal League), he did not save players and always presented the best he had available.
The same thing happens today; finished with the 1st facing the playoffs and although it is already out of competition in the third national category, El Ceibo made the decision to keep the entire squad to firmly seek the bi-championship.
The training sessions continue to be, in quality and quantity, the same as those carried out until mid-May; reaffirming the intentions of raising the cup again. With Tuesday’s victory at the “Severo Robledo” stadium against San Isidro, La Flor reached 24 consecutive wins.
Now he will have to wait if he faces Sociedad Sportiva de Devoto or Almafuerte in the semifinals; always with home court advantage, the same privilege that they will have in the event of a final.
