Arezzo, 02 June 2022 – After two years of limitations due to the health emergency, from 3 to 19 June, in the historic center of San Giovanni Valdarno, but also at the Don Bosco Oratory, at the Masaccio cinema, in the sports halls and at the bowling club returns one of the traditional events of early summer, the June Sport. Many events organized by the municipality of San Giovanni in collaboration with sports clubs and with the Veterans of Sport. It starts on Friday 3 June. The Minibasket finals will be held throughout the weekend at the sports hall in via Genova and at the Palagalli. The following week, a photographic exhibition dedicated to the history of bowls at the Oltrarno bowling club, football and volleyball tournaments and, on Sunday 12 June, the Sports Day. On Tuesday 14 June at 6 pm the Sangiovannesi sports clubs will parade in Corso Italia, accompanied by the Municipal Concert of the city of San Giovanni Valdarno. At 9 pm, again in Piazza Masaccio, gymnastics under the stars will return with the sangiovannese gymnastics essay Asd. The next day there will be dance and judo essays, while on Thursday 16 June from 9 pm to 11 pm the relay under the stars will return to the historic center by the Sangiovannese Athletics.
From 17 to 19 June, at the municipal sports facilities and at the Palagalli, basketball again with the fifth edition of the Masaccio international basketball tournament organized by Cmb. Friday 17 June at 7 pm in Piazza Masaccio there will be space for the presentation of the teams of the international Masaccio tournament. The next day the spotlight was on table tennis. From 5 to 8 pm, in Largo Masolino da Panicale, the athletes of the Tt Valdarno will be available to the interested public for performances, demonstrations and fun challenges. The event will close in style on Sunday 19 June with a unique and unmissable event for sports lovers. At 9 pm in Piazza Cesare Battisti the Olympians Patrizio Oliva and Irma Testa will be guests of the event. The two boxers will talk about their experiences, their dreams, their sacrifices, their fears and their greatest satisfactions. Together with them there will also be Gabriele Marchionni, promoter of the Special Synergy inclusion project; the management is entrusted to Michela Pellegrini. Federal councilor Marco Consolati and general secretary Alberto Tappa of the FPI will also participate. The event has the patronage of the Italian Boxing Federation.
