(Belga) Julien Carraggi was eliminated in the second round of the Italian Open badminton, an International Challenge circuit event endowed with 15,000 dollars, Friday in Milan.
Carraggi, 21 years old and 134th in the world, lost in three sets 20-22, 21-14, 21-13 in 1h01 of play against the Taiwanese Chi Yu Jen, 145th in the world. Earlier on Friday, he beat another Taiwanese, Lin Yu Hsien (BWF 89) in the first round. The Belgian champion had managed to extricate himself from qualifying, which Elias Bracke and Clara Lassaux had not been able to do on the women’s side. (Belga)
