The “Río Verde” soccer field in Almuñécar hosted the “Trofeo Almunakkar” Soccer-7 Championship organized by the IES Antigua sexi by José Daniel Montoro and the support of the Municipal Sports Area, faced the Secondary Education Institutes (IES) from Almuñécar: Antigua Sexi, Al-Andalus and Puerta del Mar.
The event, which brought together the children’s categories, First Cycle ESO; cadet, Second Cycle ESO and youth, Baccalaureate and Cycle, was developed by the league system during an intense morning, in an atmosphere of coexistence and sportsmanship between the almost two hundred students of the aforementioned centers.
In this edition, the IES Al-Ándalus and the IES Puerta del Mar were proclaimed champions in children and cadets; The runners-up and top scorers in each category also received their trophies.
The organization appreciates the sponsorship of the Almuñécar City Council, through the Municipal Sports Area. The coordinator of the trophy, José Daniel Montoro, former student of Al-Ándalus and trainee teacher at Antigua Sexi. Montoro also wanted this act to be a “special recognition” to professors Paco Adamuz, from IES Al-Ándalus and Paco García, from Puerta del Mar, “for their extensive sports work among the students of their respective centers and the municipality of Almuñécar. For this reason, they were given a “detail” commemorating the act to Professor Adamuz and the son of Paco García, on his behalf, in the presence of the Councilor for Sports Luis Aragón Olivares and several teachers from the centers.
