Salvadorans Paola Corado and Paúl Morataya lost today 155-156 to Americans Isabella Otter and Tyler Heritage, and won the mixed team silver medal at the Pan American Junior Archery Championship in Halifax, Canada.
The national goalkeepers qualified for the final after beating Canadians Chyler Sanders and Dustin Watson 152-149.
«We are satisfied with the work we have been doing these days; the key to making it to the final was keeping our scores stable and teamwork. We reached the final to give the maximum possible effort”, said Paola Corado from Halifax.
At the moment, Corado has secured two silver medals, since today he won in the mixed team and tomorrow he will play the individual compound bow final with the American Isabella Otter
For Paul Morataya, silver in the Pan-American mixed team marks a good step in his first international experience as a national archery representative.
