The 69th Spring Tohoku District High School Baseball Tournament will be held on the 8th to 12th at the prefectural Azuma Baseball Stadium in Fukushima City. Hanamaki Higashi (Iwate 1) and Seiko Gakuin (Fukushima 1), who participated in the spring selection tournament, are likely to play a central role in the battle for victory.

Hanamaki Higashi has a big win over Morioka Daisuke 21-2 in the final of the Iwate Prefectural Tournament, and has momentum. The batting average of the team in the tournament exceeds 40%, and the long batting average of Sasaki, Tashiro and others shines.

Seiko Gakuin has a sense of stability in defense. The main battle, Sayama, manipulated a sharp straight ball and a variety of changing balls, and at the Fukushima prefectural tournament, he threw 21 times and threw no goals. He has hit a total of 42 hits in four prefectural tournaments.

Ikuei Sendai, the champion of the Miyagi Prefectural Tournament, faces with two signboards, Furukawa and Ryo Saito, both on the left arm. Aomori Yamada, who won the Aomori Prefectural Tournament for the first time in three years, will demonstrate his strength in a close battle.

There are 3 representative schools in Fukushima prefecture, the venue, and Iwate prefecture, the venue the following year, and 2 other schools. Previously, there were 3 schools in each prefecture, but the number of participation slots has decreased due to the shortening of the schedule from last year’s tournament, which was canceled due to the influence of the new coronavirus.
