The casualties hampered the competitiveness of the Valladolid team, which finally finished in eighth position both in the final day and in the First Division championship
The Valladolid Athletics Club (CAV) will have to wait one more year to try to make the jump to the Division of Honor. The important casualties with which he went to play the final day of the First Division in the Alicante town of La Nucía prevented the Valladolid team from fighting face to face with their most direct rivals, closing the championship in eighth position.
In the global calculation, the CAV closes the season also in eighth place in the First Division.
Due to the absences in the expedition, the Valladolid Athletics Club competed with a good number of young promises, who gave a good level in their respective modalities. The best individual positions were for María Vega in the 400 meters, third with a time of 56:19; same position as Mariví Alvarez in hammer, with 48.91; and the 4×400 relay, formed by Eva Marqués, Ana Pérez Paramio, María Andrés and Maria Vega. High jumper Laura Martín finished in fourth position, with a best jump of 1.69.
