CD Badminton La Palma Drop wins 11 medals in the III Cabildo de Tenerife Cup in Puerto de La Cruz – La Voz de La Palma

This Saturday, June 11, the third round of the Cabildo Tenerife Badminton Cup 2022 in the categories of Under-15, Under-19, Absolute, Popular and Senior in A1-A2 and B1-B2. Organized by Auria Badminton Club and Cabildo de Tenerife.

The Sports Club Badminton La Palma Drop moved 11 players to Tenerife to participate in the different categories, where the representation of Palma played a prominent role by obtaining a total of 11 medals, with two first places, five seconds and four third places.

In the U-15 mixed doubles category, Adrian Rodríguez and Helena Barbancho were proclaimed champions after a hard-fought final against Álvaro Hernández and Natalia Barbancho, both couples from CD Badminton La Palma Drop played in the final. In this same category, in IM 15, third place for Álvaro Hernández, in IF 15, third place for Gabriela Sánchez, and in DF 15, the couple formed by Gianna Michela Cirucci and Gabriela Sánchez also obtained third place.

It is also worth noting the results obtained in the U-19 category, where Alejandro Khalil, a player from Palma, reappeared after three years of absence, who, teaming up with Daniela Rojas, took first place in the mixed doubles category, where they all won. the parties. In addition, Khalil asked for the final of IM 19 against the second seed, Dayron Gutierrez, where the player from Palma arrived very tired and lacked the rhythm to play the final. While Daniela Rojas also finished in second place in IF 19 after losing her match against Ariadna González. In Men’s Double in this same category, the couple formed by Diego González and Fernando Lorenzo finished second.

Finally, in Men’s Singles A1-A2, Sergio Hernández would finish second and third in Men’s Double B1-B2 partnering Gustavo Castrillo.
