Baseball for the Blind Staranzano returns after a year off with an open restart meeting to lay the foundations on which to rebuild a high-level team. Many Italian batters on the field but above all the new team from Graz which in less than a year has already formed an excellent line-up.

In baseball for the blind, there is no pitcher and the batter holds the ball alone. The first base is not manned but indicated by an acoustic buzzer the batter then continues towards the second and third base where an able-bodied assistant signals the point of arrival by beating two wooden paddles with his hands.

The ball has rattles that allow defenders or fielders to follow its direction to catch it, then throwing it towards second base. An observer from the Taiwan federation came to Staranzano to learn about the dynamics of the game that was created 30 years ago by the Bolognese champion Alfredo Meli.
