Last Sunday, the members of Fnaca were able to meet again, after a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic. Under the presidency of Jean-Louis Blot, sixty-six veterans and war widows were able to reconnect and celebrate the end of the Algerian war. A president who is among the oldest, he was called in October 1955 to be released at the end of 1957, with the rank of marshal of the logis.
Talents of women. The Soroptimist Luchon Comminges club is organizing its 4th “Talents de Femmes” which will take place on Saturday June 25, Henry Pac room, Luchon casino, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. This event, initiated by the club, aims to publicize and promote the women’s craftsmanship. To date, 24 craftswomen have already confirmed their attendance. The objective of this meeting is also part of the goal of helping Ukrainian refugees. Free admission. Raffle €2 per ticket.
Podium du triathlon. Last Saturday, the very first edition of the Luchon triathlon took place. Among the men, Jérôme Save, a member of Team Garona, won by completing the race in 5:25. Among the women, Esther Hernandez won in 6:22.
Olympic Games. On Wednesday June 22, on the occasion of Olympic and Paralympic Day 2022, the Haute-Garonne departmental council is organizing a day in Luchon-Superbagnères on the theme of Olympism and the mountains, in collaboration with the Departmental Committee Olympique et Sportif 31, the Syndicat Mixte Haute-Garonne Montagne and the UNSS 31.During this day, many sporting events will be offered to the 120 schoolchildren (archery, Handisport, Basque pelota, etc.), as well as the discovery of the resort of Luchon-Superbagnères, fauna, flora and environmental protection.
