MAZATLAN._ Mazatlan weighed down his home and won six championships in the Mazatlan Baseball Tournament-Venados 2022which this Sunday concluded in the port.
Engineering and Design Osuna’s-Mazatlán won one title, Liga Mazatlán conquered three and Liga Muralla won two at the end of Sunday’s session.
Engineering and Design Osuna’s-Mazatlán won the pennant in the Juvenile Minor category, defeating prospects from Maní-Yucatán in the final by a score of 13-2.
Joan Plasencia scored the victory on the hill of the shots for the ninth Mazatleca, in work of 3 innings, one hit and two scores. He was relieved by Emmanuel Cedano for the rest of the game.
The defeated pitcher was Darber Peraza.
Alfonso Hemke stood out on offense for the Mazatlan team by going 3-5 with a pair of doubles, while his teammate Alex Tolosa went 4-5 and Joseph Zeta hit 4-4, including a triple.
Engineering and Design Osuna’s-Mazatlán thus won the crown undefeated by winning its four games in the group stage, defeating Guerreros México-Nuevo León in the quarterfinals and Navojoa in the semifinal.
MAZATLAN LEAGUE POCKETS THREE SCEPTERS
In the Children’s category, Liga Mazatlán defeated Academia Saraperos-Cohauila in an exciting game by a score of 9 runs against 4, in order to win the title.
Emiliano Orona scored the victory in relief of starter Luis Ángel Ríos.
Orona worked for an inning and two thirds, allowed 3 hits, gave away a walk, struck out 2 rivals and allowed a run. Iker Lizárraga finished the game.
The defeat went to Mateo Zamora, in relief of Ían Cruz.
Liga Mazatlán took advantage with 3 runs in the bottom of the first inning, due to producer hits by Íker Patiño and Carlos Pérez.
In the second they added another run and in the fourth they added 4 touchdowns to go to victory and the title.
In that episode Emiliano Orona and Luis Ángel Ríos towed with hits, while Íker Patiño brought two more to the plate with a hit.
The ninth run was recorded in the fifth inning driven by a hit by Figueroa.
Saraperos scored his 4 runs in the second inning, driven in by hits by Álex Duarte and Rodrigo Rodríguez.
In Minor Children, Liga Mazatlán took the crown by beating Gastro Médica-Aguascalientes 13-3.
Édgar Hernández achieved victory with relief from Israel Castro.
The defeat went to Damián Delgado, who was relieved by Joel López.
The Mazatlan team secured victory in the second inning, where they got a juicy 9-run rally, highlighting a home run with the bases loaded by Israel Castro.
And in the Major Children category, Liga Mazatlán AC was proclaimed champion by defeating Diamantes Mexicali 12-2 with pitches from the winner Ezequiel Rivera, with work of 4 hits, 3 bases and 3 strikeouts, in addition to receiving 2 runs. Jesús Razo was the losing pitcher.
Alejandro González stood out for Liga Mazatlán by going 3-3 with a double, while Paul López batted 2-2.
MURALLA WINS TWO CHAMPIONSHIPS
The representative teams of Liga Muralla-Mazatlán won a couple of championships in this event.
In the Diaper category, Liga Muralla won the title by beating Club Raptors Saltillo by 12 races to 10.
And in the Escuelita category, Muralla Rojo won the championship by beating Mxli Heat-Baja California by a tight score of 24-22.
In the Free Juvenile Adult category, ALBM Mexicali-BC was proclaimed champion by beating Unión Arandas-Jalisco in the final by a score of 10 races to 2.
