Heinz Lindner changes within the Swiss league and will play for FC Sion in the future. Austria’s team goalkeeper, who had been on the sidelines at FC Basel, signed a three-year contract with the seventh-placed team in the past Super League season. The two-time champion (1992, 1997) is the third station in Switzerland for the 31-year-old after Basel and Grasshopper Zurich.

The club from the canton of Valais wrote on Tuesday that it was an honor to present Lindner as the new goalie. Lindner would come after a fantastic season in which he was considered the best goalkeeper in the league. The 32-time team player would have been under contract in Basel until 2023, but recently sought a change after the club had put several newcomers in front of him.
Sion has been in the Swiss upper house since 2006, mainly thanks to the financial donations from club president Christian Constantin, who is considered impulsive. No other premier league team has seen such a high level of trainer wear and tear in recent years as Sion. Paolo Tramezzani is currently working at the mainly French-speaking location – for the third time since his debut in 2017.
