Ion Izagirre has renewed for two more seasons with the Cofidis team, which he joined this year. The ormaiztegiarra has committed to the French team until 2024.
“I am very happy to continue with Cofidis for the next two seasons. After these first few months in the team, I feel comfortable with my teammates and I can feel that everyone believes in me and it’s a very nice feeling. Of course, this allows you to face each race with more serenity and confidence. I can only concentrate on my performance, not worry about the rest and that helps me do everything to shine,” the 33-year-old Ormaiztegiarra assured this Friday through an official note from his team published before taking the start in the first tour stage.
The manager of Cofidis, Cédric Vasseur, praised the youngest of the Izagirre: «Since he joined the team he has accumulated very good results on the World Tour.
