Today will be a day of judo in Ourense. And it is that the second day of the 2022 Diputación Cup will take place in the Pazo Paco Paz (Pacito), from 11:30 a.m., a competition that will bring together fifty participants from all over the province. The main novelty this year is the resumption of the competition, after two years of hiatus due to covid-19. And that is already positive news. The pandemic interrupted the 2020 Cup, in 2021 the medals and prizes of that edition were awarded and, finally, provincial judo resumes its routine.
The second day, of the four scheduled, will outline the best positioned for the final victory of each category, since it is an event that especially rewards attendance.
The categories were distributed from the lollipop (less than 18 kilos) to the juvenile. The fusion of the male and female categories is maintained in the Open category, open to competitors of both sexes. A measure that increases the number of fights between the participants and invigorates the rhythm of the tournament.
With a special desire due to the forced break, the athletes will jump onto the tatami to offer their best version.
