It was the last community council before the holidays, Thursday, June 30, but not the least, since the agenda provided for the vote on subsidies to associations, a decision eagerly awaited by many players in the territory.
Unanimously, the elected officials of Bertranges adopted the proposals of the sports commission, for a total of €23,000 (i.e. an overall increase of 15% compared to 2021). The rapporteur, Sébastien Clémençon, specified that two criteria had been raised before the calculations, in order to reward clubs which had a sports school (children under 10) and youth teams (10 to 18 years old).
For culture, Christine Hivert presented a distribution that is also on the rise, but much larger, going from €49,150 in 2021 to €64,000 (two reasons: the “big” structures will receive more and other, smaller ones have appeared ). Again, the proposals were adopted unanimously.
Other Topics Covered
School of music, dance and theatre. The elected officials have recorded a modification of the prices of the inter-municipal school of music, dance and theater, which aims to simplify the price brackets while increasing the activities offered, with a few new features.
Revitalisation. The community of municipalities will enter into the Operation for the revitalization of the territory (ORT), linked to the Small towns of tomorrow programme, the priority objective of which is the revitalization of town centres.
Thunderstorms. The president, Claude Baland, expressed his support for the two municipalities affected by the recent hailstorm, Chaulgnes and Saint-Aubin-les-Forges, promising exceptional subsidies on expenses that will remain their responsibility. The mayor of Saint-Aubinois, Bruno Verrain, in an emotional intervention, regretted the lack of support from the four main municipalities of Bertranges: “I would have appreciated that the mayors of Guérigny, La Charité, Prémery and Urzy are calling me to offer help…”
