Barça B in basketball, despite having achieved sports promotion in the LEB Plata, will not compete in the third category of Spanish basketball and will continue to do so in the EBA League. The Club has reached a agreement with the Salou Basketball Club to exchange the LEB Plata place for the EBA League place and, in this way, the Barça subsidiary will play the 2022/23 season in the EBA League.
Barça continues betting on the fourth category of Spanish basketball for the training of its players. This last season players like Ubal, Caicedo, Nnaji, Bonilla or Villar have already debuted with the first team in the Euroleague and in the Endesa League. Some of them having an important presence in the day to day of the team.
It should be remembered that Roger Grimau’s team was the best in Group C during the 2021/22 season with a record of 21-1 and was proclaimed champion of the category after making an immaculate final phase in Huelva with three wins in three games.
