The GLOBL JAM FESTIVAL presented by Tangerine Bank will be in Yonge-Dundas Square July 8-10

TORONTO, Ont. (July 5, 2022) – Canada Basketball announced Tuesday that Tangerine will be the Official Bank of GLOBL JAM as well as the Presenting Partner of FESTIVAL GLOBL JAM.

The GLOBL JAM FESTIVAL presented by Tangerine Bank will take place Friday, July 8-Sunday, July 10 at and will unite fans on and off the field and celebrate sport, art and culture with a 3×3 community field, a community market, food trucks, music and more.

The GLOBL JAM FESTIVAL will also host the Conquest Canada 3×3 Finals on July 8 and 9. Twelve elite men’s and women’s teams from all countries will not only compete for their place in the FIBA ​​3X3 World Tour (Montreal) (September 3-4, 2022) or the FIBA ​​3X3 Challenger (Edmonton), but also a prize for each winning team.

Through on-field activations and community programs that include clinics for local youth, a field open to the public during certain hours, and the chance to meet Team Canada alumni and ambassadors, as well as Sportsnet personalities, influencers and more, the Tangerine Bank Community Court will be a must-visit for basketball fans of all ages.

The Superfan & Friends Charity 3×3 game will take place on the main court in Yonge-Dundas Square on Saturday, July 9 at 2 p.m. ET as Canada Basketball’s Global Community Ambassador and Toronto Raptors Superfan Nav Bhatia will host alumni, celebrities, journalists and influencers in a fun and interactive 3×3 match. Following this meeting, fans will have the opportunity to meet Superfan and the players.

In addition, the Canada Basketball Foundation will award the losing team a $5,000 donation to charity on their behalf.

Canada Basketball, in partnership with Sportsnet, has launched GLOBL JAM to continue growing basketball here in Canada.

Held in Toronto from July 5-10, GLOBL JAM will spotlight the sport’s rising stars and international men’s and women’s teams will compete in an under-23 tournament live from the Mattamy Athletic Center and broadcast nationally on Sportsnet.
