Aleix Espargaró was the last protagonist of the season of ‘La Resistencia’. The program left its usual set to move to Ibiza. The MotoGP rider was waiting there, promising his fans to finish the season in a big way: “I’m going to bring you a world champion helmet when the year is over.”

The Spaniard has to date one victory and five podiums that allow him to dream of winning the World Cup. He is second, 21 points behind leader Quartararo. Although not all are good times. Espargaró also remembered the blunder he had in Barcelona. He thought the race was over a lap early and he celebrated the podium early. Finally, he finished outside the first three places. «I lived it very badly. One of the worst days of my life, of my sports career. (…) I was so focused that I didn’t see the blackboard that they put with the laps when you pass the finish line. I only saw the difference with the one behind, I was concentrating so that he wouldn’t catch me. I thought it was over, I started to say hello, and when I realized it I thought how I had messed it up».

Broncano wanted to know more about the queen category of motorcycling and asked him about the pilots’ salaries. A classic question in ‘La Resistencia’ that Espargaró answered without hesitation. “The pilots win around
2 or 3 million euros. But don’t multiply that with the years I’ve been with Aprilia because I really like living well.”
