Stay Ballin and Ball Is Life will host a friendly basketball tournament at Unidad Deportiva Portales this Friday in Hermosillo

Hermosillo, Sonora.- To create community and impact the youth of Hermosillo, Stay Ballin, a street basketball team, will hold a friendly tournament and a series of activities focused on promoting the sport.

With the collaboration between ‘Ball Is Life’, an American sports promotion organization, and the Hermosillo Youth Sports Institute (IDHJ), a match is being prepared for this Friday, July 8, at 7:00 p.m. on the renovated field basketball team of the Portales Sports Unit.

With the invitation open to the general public, anyone who wishes to participate in a series of ‘youth challenges’ will be received from 6:00 p.m.

Likewise, the call to attend the Elite Training Camp this coming Saturday, July 9, is reiterated, where high school girls, boys and young people will be able to learn exercises to jump higher, dive balls and play in youth tournaments.

Kenny Dobbs, director of ‘Ball Is Life’, expressed being very happy to be part of a sports movement that generates an impact on society and mainly on young people, because sport can make a difference in the lives of girls and kids.

The international diving champion, originally from Arizona, mentioned that these types of collaborations are equally beneficial for him, as they allow him to reaffirm his commitment to the sport to use it as a platform to help youth get out of drugs or criminal circles. .

Carolina Guerrera, director of IDJH, pointed out that these types of activities demonstrate how sport can rescue lives and shape the character of young people, in addition to creating a community with a future.
