Federal Technical Centers
The responsibility of the centers is entrusted to Laura Di Toma, Bruno D’Isanto and Raffaele Toniolo, who have identified and shared the goal of: a) gathering the High Level Athletes so that they can train collegially, under the control of the Federal Technicians, continuously both when the Meetings are scheduled at the Federal Olympic Center and when they are scheduled at the relative offices of the CTFs; b) recruit the most talented Athletes in the area and synergistically share the related physical, technical and tactical growth paths; c) collaborate with the territory for promotional and marketing activities aimed at expanding the base, through synergistic initiatives that involve leading athletes who gravitate around the offices of the CTFs; d) decrease the pressure of the presences on the Federal Olympic Center which could become the focal point for the Federal Sports School and the Training and Refresher Courses of Technical Teachers.
Referees Project
Introduction
Innovation and training is the path undertaken by the refereeing area of the Federation, innovation in methods and greater presence in the territory by deepening the contact with the athletes. The referee is an integral part of our sport and knowledge of the rules is essential. For this reason, with the extraordinary contribution of Pino Maddaloni and Roberta Chyurlia, a new journey has been launched that brings athletes closer to the world of refereeing and projects them towards new experiences and new developments in the world of judo. The athlete’s cultural and knowledge baggage can grow in a condition other than combat and bring new young people closer, in awareness and respect for the rules. Giving space to young people does not mean making a clean sweep, on the contrary an effort is required on the part of everyone to keep the quality of the refereeing high and at the same time to mark the way, giving the right perspectives, for this reason some figures have been selected who are able to offer security but also momentum. A concrete project that has started and wants to grow, with a network of capable people and with the technological supports that modernity offers us.
Objective: widespread and continuous training.
All our activities and our planning are aimed at achieving a main objective: to conform as much as possible to the international structure; which is why, for example, Supervisors have been introduced to support the Referee Commission during national competitions.
Before each National Final, a practical session was introduced on the mat, dedicated to the study and execution of particular situations and / or actions and video analysis.
On this point, it is specified that all the referees who wish to participate in these sessions will be able to access them freely and free of charge, upon request sent to the institutional email ([email protected]) and communication to the relevant CRUGs.
The study of the rules cannot ignore the practice on the mat and the spirit of those who choose this path must be inspired by the idea of making a contribution to the world of Judo, with all the commitment that this entails.
The referee’s responsibility is important and the commitment dedicated to personal training and updating must be equally important.
To facilitate this process, it was decided to apply the refresher courses formula for Macro Areas (North, Center and South), in order to allow everyone to participate, without limitation to the first category only.
Those who choose to undertake the referee path consciously accept the commitment of time and dedication that this entails, like what is done by athletes.
The continuous updating of the arbitration rules requires a univocal information system adhering to the original message of the International Federation.
Roberta Chyurlia and Giuseppe Maddaloni are in a position of constant involvement in the IJF circuit and related training seminars (all IJF competitions are preceded by a practical session on the mat, while the intervals between one competition and another are stimulated by the video analyzes transmitted by the IJF Commission) it is for this reason that they have been involved in this path.
Among the various initiatives launched to support the category, there is the Young Referees project aimed at young people between 16-25 years old, facilitating participation and offering the opportunity to simultaneously attend the preparation course for the acquisition of the black belt degree. 1st dan. The final objective is to lower the age of candidates to be proposed for the continental and international referee exam, thus gaining greater international experience and a real and concrete perspective in the world of refereeing in compliance with the indications provided by the IJF and EJU.
The members of the CNUG arbitration sector Stefano Piccoli and Francesco Soldano have been identified for the young people and the project and Gianluigi Pugnetti, Mario Daminelli, Maurizio Velastri, Marco Migni, Saverio Burrascano, Antonio Di Virgilio, who also have the task of collaborating with the CRUGs to “recruit talents” in the area of competence.
As for the Supervisors, on the other hand, the following were identified among ex-athletes and / or technicians with proven experience: Alessandro Comi, Giulia Quintavalle, Donata Burgatta, Fernando Marverti, Armando Vettori who will support Roberta Chyurlia, Pino Maddaloni and Mario Daminelli.
The relationship with the National Technical Directorate and the National Commission for Technical Teachers is active and constant, the members together with the technical representative of the CNUG, Nicola Moraci, are always sent to participate in the pre-competition sessions on the mat.
With the DTN a course of study and comparison with the national teams was also started.
Finally, the Top Level Referees project provides a specific program for referees with international perspectives (in terms of age, ability and availability), with the hope that the number of referees called to the various European championships and World Judo Tour competitions can increase. .
