Due to lack of experience, Thai players with the same fate as Primary Arhan do not get to play in the Japanese League – All Pages

Striker timnas Thailand, Supachok Sarachat.

BOLANAS.COM – Supachok Sarachat has not been given the opportunity by Consadole Sapporo due to adaptation problems, similar to the Arhan Primary case in Tokyo Verdy.

The elite players of the Indonesian and Thai national teams both suffered an unpleasant fate in the Japanese League competition.

Indonesian national team defender, Pratama Arhan, has only made one appearance since joining Tokyo Verdy in March.

Similarly, Thailand midfielder Supachok Sarachat has not tasted his debut since landing at Consadole Sapporo in June.

Supachok Sarachat “graduated” from the Thai League with a score of 204 games with Buriram United, contributing 49 goals and 24 assists.

Supachok has also become a mainstay of the Thai national team, with a record of five goals in 17 caps.

With such a flashy record, Supachok is predicted to be able to follow in the footsteps of Chanathip Songkrasin, who first shone in the Japanese League.

Consadole Sapporo in fact did not immediately provide a portion of playing in the first team until the second month of Supachok’s joining.

Reporting from @Thaifootballs, Consadole Sapporo coach Mihailo Petrovic doesn’t want to risk playing players with minimal experience.

Note, even though Supachok has the status of a star player in Thailand, he needs to adapt to the J1 League which has a higher level.

Mihailo Petrovic also brought up the performance of his team which was sluggish, which was ranked 14th out of 18 clubs, or close to the relegation zone.

“He is now familiar with our tactics but it will take him longer to adapt to the J1 League,” said Petrovic (16/7/2022).

“Besides, our situation in the league is not very good.”

“So I can’t put him in the (main) team at the moment,” he said.

The sad fate above was experienced by Pratama Arhan, who is also the main player for the Indonesian national team.

Pratama Arhan has been at Tokyo Verdy even longer (since March), and has played in a lower competition (J2 League).

Arhan has so far only gotten one chance to play against Tochigi SC (6/7/2022), that too is far from his original position.

The 20-year-old player is known as Indonesia’s elite left-back, but was placed as a right winger in the second tier of the Japanese League.

The position shift was made so that Tokyo Verdy would not have a hole in the defense, because Arhan’s defensive aspect did not seem to meet local standards.

“The problem with Arhan right now is the defense,” said Tokyo Verdy sporting director Atsuhiko Ejiri (16/7/2022).

“I think Arhan needs to learn more about mastering individual defensive tactics,” he explained.

“I’m sure Arhan is currently learning and trying a lot of new things.”

Supachok Sarachat and Pratama Arhan will not meet on the field, considering the two players play in two different competitions.
