The Hispanos Juveniles will face Denmark, Croatia and Iceland in the first phase.
Telde, July 22, 2022.- Telde’s Marko Ojeda Franeta from Cisne Balonmano de Pontevedra, among those chosen by coach Daniel Sánchez-Nieves to be part of the Hispanic Youth that will compete in the XVI European Summer Youth Olympic Festival 2022 , which will take place in Banská Bystrica, Slovakia, from July 24 to 30.
This festival will feature the participation of 10,000 participants, belonging to 50 European National Olympic Committees, who will compete in 11 modalities such as artistic gymnastics, athletics, badminton, basketball, cycling, handball, judo, swimming, tennis, volleyball and handball.
The generation of players born between 2005 and 2006 will face this important event, facing Denmark, Croatia and Iceland in the first phase. Spain is classified after being third classified in the last Croatian European Championship 2021.
The Councilor for Physical Activity and Sports of the Telde City Council, Diego Ojeda Ramos, congratulates Marko on his call-up to the Spanish youth handball team “that Marko continues to be part of the national team’s plans is very important to continue growing and improving his career sporty. The summoned players are concentrated, since last Saturday, July 16 in Madrid, from there to travel to Azuqueca de Henares, where the team will work for a week to finalize the preparation for the FOJE 2022. On Saturday 23, the Spanish expedition will travel to Slovak lands to acclimatize to the place and finish polishing details for the debut in the tournament, on Monday 25 (8:30 p.m.) against Denmark.
