Addendum to the AGM:
He was honored for 40 years of loyalty to TV Eintracht Brambauer, even though he has lived in Berlin for a long time. Reason enough to pay tribute once again to his achievements in gymnastics. Anyone who has ever tried to imitate Florian Hambüchen’s so playful-looking exercises with the sonorous names “giant rim” or “circle flank” on high bar or pommel horse will quickly realize that it is not that easy. Most give up.
Third generation gymnast: Claas Wenzlik
We’re talking about Claas Wenzlik, the third-generation gymnast. His grandfather Eduard and his father Peter also did gymnastics successfully on TV Eintracht. But first things first. He began his career in 1981 in the children’s gymnastics group with Michael Radke, who quickly forwarded him to the performance ranks. At the end of 1982 he was the first student district champion in the E class. Listing all the successes here is going too far. Let’s continue with the Westphalia team championship in 1985, which also included Oliver Sorge and Marc Hennemann.
He was able to defend the title with his team, which was joined by Andreas Unterkötter.
In 1987 he became Westphalian champion in the M5 youth class and a year later in the M7 class, thus qualifying for the German youth championships in Bous in Saarland.
A highlight – German Gymnastics Festival Dortmund 1990:
Claas had also qualified for the German Championships in 1990 and performed in front of a home crowd in the Westfalenhalle in Dortmund.
Then he switched to TV Lauspe in 1992 – 1993 and did gymnastics in the artistic gymnastics regional league in Siegerland.
During his computer science studies from 1994 he did gymnastics at the performance center in Mülheim. In 1998 he ended up in Berlin.
100th anniversary of the club in 2014:
On the occasion of his 100th anniversary, he took the opportunity to come to the celebration, and his father accepted the trophy for 40th membership for him at the annual general meeting.
He has not only been successful in gymnastics, to which he has remained true, but also professionally. Today he works as a freelance management consultant in Berlin. If you are interested in more details, you can go to the homepage of the “entrepreneur Claas Wenzlik” embark.
You can find more information about TV Eintracht Brambauer and what it has to offer on the “Home page of TV Eintracht“. During the summer holidays, the practice operation rests, in 2 weeks, on August 10th (Wednesday) it starts again.
