Battipaglia. On Friday 5 August, at 8.30 pm, at the municipal villa “Ezio Maria Longo” in via Domodossola, on the occasion of the Beer Festival, the “Atleta battipagliese 2021” event will be held. Created by the journalist Paolo De Vita and organized by the online newspaper Battipaglia1929.it and by the sports information site Spunti & Appunti.com.
The initiative, now in its third edition, will reward companies, athletes who have particularly distinguished themselves and those who have obtained institutional recognition in the year 2021. Unfortunately, due to Covid, which prevented the celebration of the event last December, the Battipagliese Athlete “travels” almost a year later than the “solar calendar”. To obviate, at least partially, this time gap, the organizers have decided to include the clubs that won their respective championships last spring.
All the other winners of 2022 will, on the other hand, be awarded on the occasion of the 4th edition of “Atleta battipagliese” when, hopefully, it will be possible to “balance the score” between the year that is going to end and the one that is going to begin! As per the consolidated ritual, “Atleta battipagliese 2021”, will not fail to look at the past of city sport by assigning prizes to the career, to the memory and to the protagonists of important sporting events, now dated.
