The scholarships are awarded to talented young athletes for three years.

Gideon Badminton Academy is a badminton education school owned by Marcus Gideon and his father, Kurniahu Gideon, who was also one of the proud Indonesian athletes at the time.

The collaboration between Scarlett and Gideon Badminton Academy can also be realized due to the common vision, that is, wanting to be part of the development of badminton in the future, by finding and producing new talented athletes as the next generation in Indonesia.

The selection process will later select 20 female semi-finalists, who are then narrowed down to six finalists who will undergo quarantine and intensive badminton training at the Gideon Badminton Academy.
For three years, they will also undergo an evaluation with certain evaluation criteria, in order to improve standards and performance as young athletes. If the evaluation criteria have not been met, an audition will be held again to provide opportunities for other talented athletes.
“After receiving an education at Gideon Badminton Academy, it is hoped that they can become professional athletes and rise to a higher level. Scarlett also plans to maintain a long-term collaboration for this scholarship, because the main goal is to support the successful regeneration of Indonesian badminton,” said Felicya. .
