Saint-Jean-de-Monts. A double Olympic judo medalist visits

I already do judo , says Keshaliya, 7 years old. Coming on July 31 with her brother, also judoka Mayilan, 9 and a half years old, she evolves within the Beauvoir-sur-Mer club and is hardly impressed to find herself facing Sarah-Léonie Cysique, double Olympic medalist in judo at the Games Tokyo Olympics.

This is a first for me in Saint-Jean-de-Monts and even in Vendée , admits the 24-year-old champion who has been practicing since the age of 4. This morning, I participated in the training of the club Coast of Light, bringing together the municipalities of Saint-Gilles-Croix-de-Vie and Saint-Jean-de-Monts.

I participate in various activities but it is also a first on the beach. After the initiations and demonstrations, Sarah-Léonie Cysique lends herself to the game of numerous dedications. I keep my medals in mind but I’m heading for new adventures, with various competitions. Hoping to qualify for the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris to win an individual title.

Saint-Jean-de-Monts being labeled Land of games 2024 and sports city, it regularly welcomes champions showing that sport is a vector of attractiveness and citizen cohesion.
