Four-time national champion Tulika, 22, reached the semifinals of the women’s 78kg category by defeating Tracy Durhone of Mauritius in the quarterfinals.
Tulika Maan beat New Zealand’s Sydnee Andrews in the semi-final match in about three minutes. She then faced Sarah Adlington of Scotland in the final.

She was born on September 9, 1998 in New Delhi. Her father died when she was young and her mother’s name is Arpita Mann and she is Deputy Sub-Inspector at the Delhi Police Department.
She completed her education at Kendriya Vidyalaya Tagore Garden (Delhi) and later went to DDU Gorakhpur University for further studies.
About six years ago, Tulika Mann was accepted into the Sports Authority of India center in Bhopal, where she began training under Solanki, a former India international and Arjuna Prize winner who gave up his position as a state intelligence officer to become a coach.
