Paralympic Daniel Caverzaschi, town crier in La Melonera

Paralympic tennis player Daniel Caverzaschi will be in charge of giving the starting gun to the La Melonera festivitiesin the district of Arganzuela, with the reading of the proclamation on September 8. This will officially start the festivities that will have activities from September 4 to 18, according to the program, which includes a message from the councilor president of the district, Cayetana Hernández de la Riva, who calls on the neighbors to enjoy the festivities .

On this occasion, among others, the historic Melonera race in its XXXI editionthe prizes of the painting and photography contests will be awarded and their respective exhibitions will be inaugurated, fifteen musical concerts of different styles will be played, the mass and procession will be celebrated in honor of the Virgen del Puerto, we will have the Family Day and children’s activities varied, as well as a canine exhibition of the Municipal Police and the Foam Party with the Firefighters of Madrid.

“A well-deserved tribute to all our neighbors,” says the councilor-president, who has thanked “everyone” who has participated in the formation of this program. In the musical section, Natalia Lacunzza (10:30 p.m.) and Carlos Jean (12:15 a.m.) on Friday 9, Marwan (10:30 p.m.) and DJ El Pulpo (12:15 a.m.) on Saturday 10 or a tribute to Sabina on Sunday the 11th.

In the sports section there will be individual tournaments of games such as chess, billiards and chinchón; in pairs for tute, mus or dominoes; and in trios for petanque. There will also be a day of rhythmic gymnastics, a badminton tournament, another football, volleyball and paddle tennis.
