The film stars Hynek Čermák with Klára Issová, Pavlo Baťek, Simona Babčáková, Taťjana Medvecká, Otakar Brousek and child actors Tom Breton and Johanka Racková. It also features goalkeeper Dominik Hašek, but it is not the main role.
Czech hockey players triumphed in Nagano, Japan in 1998, and many children at that time wished to be like them. The ten-year-old boy Dom decides to be the new Dominik Hašek and goes hard for his way.

His parents don’t believe in his dream and refuse to invest in it, only his grandfather supports the team he and his friends start. Saber takes under his wing a former extra-league hockey player, played by Hynek Čermák. Will they defeat the neighboring village together?
“I watched Nagano. Each of us remembers exactly what we did when our hockey players won. This film reflects the mood and pride that was in each of us after this victory,” says Čermák.

“It’s not my first role. I have already played a small role several times in the Czech Republic and in America. But this is a matter of the heart for me. Czech hockey needs boys to play field hockey with tennis shoes in front of a barracks or with a puck on a frozen pond. New talents can be discovered there too. And that’s what the movie is about. This inspiration was brought to us by the hockey generation of the 70s, and I will be very happy if our “Nagan generation” similarly passes it on to today’s boys,” Hašek added.
The premiere is scheduled for February 23, 2023.
