BIG3 | Trilogy achieves the first double

We had to wait for the fifth season of the BIG3, this 3-on-3 league launched by Ice Cube, to see a team retain its title. It was Trilogy who achieved this performance on Sunday in Atlanta.

The team led by Stephen Jackson was crowned in 2021, against the 3 Headed Monsters, and it achieved the double this season against Power, with a wide score (51-35).

Earl Clark and Isaiah Briscoe dominated the proceedings, scoring 22 and 21 points. Opposite, Glen Rice Jr. tried everything with 23 points and 12 rebounds, but Trilogy was too strong. It is even the third title in five years for this team since it had already won the first edition, in 2017.

Before this final, the individual trophies had been awarded to the best players of the season. Kevin Murphy (3 Headed Monsters) was crowned MVP, with his 26 points average, when Earl Clark, the champion with Trilogy, was voted best defender, and Reggie Theus, on the bench of the 3 Headed Monsters, named coach of the ‘year.
