In the last “Ciudad de Tomelloso” Archery Championship, recognition was given to Joaquín López Arribas, a great promoter of this sport in the city. The initiative came from the Club Disminusport, from Linares. The person in charge of the club from Tomellos did not expect it and lived this recognition with great enthusiasm.
Joaquín López really enjoyed this return with his archery friends, a sport that has been his passion for 28 years. And both clubs and goalkeepers turned to him in an unforgettable day. They tucked him in right now as he is overcoming the stroke he suffered in September of last year.
There were 86 goalkeepers who gathered at the Paco Gálvez Stadium in a competition that had as judges Joaquín López Arribas (RFETA National Judge), María Elena Gallego Santos-Olmo (RFTA Judge) and José Luis Córdoba Moreno (RFETA Judge), who traveled from Tarancón (Cuenca) to lend a hand. The competition was national in nature and was also the II Test of the XII Interclub League, organized by clubs from Castilla-La Mancha and Andalusia.
The winners table was as follows. Jesús Pérez (Arcosol) won the senior recurve category, in the same modality, but Vicente López Morales (Valdemoro) won in the veterans category.
