Swedish striker Jonathan Dalen will play in the Swedish Premier League (SHL) club “Timra IK” next season, the team announced. The contract with the hockey player is concluded for five years.
The 24-year-old forward made his debut in the National Hockey League (NHL) last season with the San Jose Sharks, where Rudolph Balzer also played last year. In 61 games, Dalen scored 12 goals and provided ten assists. He did not receive a qualifying offer from the team after the season ended.
Dahlen, who was selected by the Ottawa Senators in the second round of the 2016 draft, was traded to the Canucks in exchange for 2017, and in 2019 he became the property of the Sharks. Before his debut in the NHL last year in the Sharks team, Dahlen had spent the previous two seasons directly in the ranks of “Timra IK”. Before that, he had already tried his hand on the other side of the ocean for one season, playing in the American Hockey League (AHL).
Timrå IK can today announce that Jonathan Dahlén is returning to the club! Welcome back!
