They demand justice in Lebanon for the massacre of Sabra and Shatila

Representatives of Palestinian fighting fronts, together with Lebanese parties and organizations today demanded justice for the perpetrators of the Sabra and Chatila massacre, four decades after the criminal act.

The meeting of the Civil Campaign in support of Palestine and the causes of the Arab nation in the country raised its voice in memory of the thousands of women, children and men shot by the Falangist militias of the Lebanese Christian right under the support of the forces Israeli military.

In the People’s Hall of the Shatila refugee camp in Beirut, those present emphasized that the attack on civilians in September 1982 does not expire with the passage of time and constitutes a bloody stain on the history of humanity.

During a dialogue with Prensa Latina, Maan Bachour, coordinator of the campaign, demanded compensation from the relatives of the victims and blamed the Israeli Zionist entity and its internal instruments in Lebanon for carrying out such violations against the Palestinian population of Sabra and Chatila.

Bachour reiterated the commitment to the unity of all factions to defeat the occupation and build a true, free, independent and sovereign Palestine.

At the same time, the fighter expressed solidarity with the Palestinian prisoners and the Syrian people, besieged by the arrogance of the United States and its allies.

For 22 years, the weekly meeting of the Civil Campaign has brought together figures from the left, nationalists, patriots and Nasserists who support the Palestinian and Arab resistance in favor of regional peace.

Next Saturday, the thousands of Palestinian refugees in the nation and the Lebanese will remember the horror of the attacks against the citizens of Sabra and Shatila, an unpunished act classified as genocide by the United Nations.
