Good news for Bayern, especially for Julian Nagelsmann. Leon Goretzka and Manuel Neuer survived their corona infection and returned to the training ground on Tuesday. This means that the two DFB stars are available to Bayern again in time for the important Bundesliga duel against Bayer Leverkusen.
The international break is slowly but surely coming to an end. Bayern players will be in demand again in the Bundesliga next Friday. The Munich team welcome Bayer Leverkusen to their home Allianz Arena and want to end the negative trend of the last few weeks after four games without a win.
From quarantine to the starting XI?
Out of the quarantine: Manuel Neuer and Leon Goretzka are on the pitch for Bayern’s first training session since Augsburg!

Bayern coach Julian Nagelsmann will most likely be able to call on FCB captain Manuel Neuer and Leon Goretzka for the important game against the Werkself. The two DFB internationals tested positive for Corona last week and were in isolation at home until recently. As “BILD” reporter Heiko Niedderer reports, both left the quarantine on Tuesday and returned to the Munich team training.
While Manuel Neuer is very likely to be between the posts against Leverkusen, Goretzka is threatened with the bench. The midfielder hasn’t been able to train regularly for a week and is certainly not at 100 percent physically. In addition, Nagelsmann has corresponding alternatives with Ryan Gravenberch and Marcel Sabitzer.
