A mix of worlds between tennis and Kpop? It’s possible !
South Korea has held its first official tennis tournament (ATP) in Seoul for 26 years, and it has attracted many people and celebrities!
On September 29, BTS singer Jin was spotted at the Korea Open watching Casper Ruud’s first match against Nicolas Jarry. Casper Ruud, making his Seoul debut, won the game 6-2, 3-6, 6-3 and by then many recognized Jin in the crowd.
The ATP Tour mentioned the BTS member on their Twitter account saying, “Casper has a new fan.”

Jin has always enjoyed various sports like golf and tennis, but the latter is his favorite sport and often trains regularly under a famous Korean tennis coach.
The match was special because of one of the players – a Norwegian player, Casper Ruud, who is currently the 2nd best player in the world (ATP ranking). Jin attended the match with his tennis coach, and it seems that they are one of Casper Ruud’s many fans.
The match commentator addressed Jin as the “Superstar in the stands” and gave him a deserved compliment:
