This season, BTH ’86 is also organizing a new edition of the Start 2 Badminton lesson series for beginning recreational players in Sportcomplex De Bres in Halle. During a course of 4 sessions in which there is always one and a half hours of training and an hour of free play, recreational players learn the basics of badminton from a qualified coach.
“We had to close registrations for our series of classes after just one day, after we announced this on our website and Facebook page.” says Bram Verkens, responsible for recreation at Badminton team Halle ’86. “Badminton is a very accessible sport, does not require a large investment in material and can be practiced within our club 3 times a week for barely €95 for a whole season. In addition, as a club we can also offer the necessary guidance and we organize an annual number of events where we involve all our members where we also play a social role and ensure connection.”
Anyone who also wants to play badminton recreationally can still join. The club organizes a second series of classes in the middle of the season where newly affiliated players are given priority over registration. All information can be found on their website: www.badmintonhalle.be
