Announced with 350 athletes, the Club Naco Judo Cup

The immortal of Judo, Juan Chalas and Berta García, from the Parents Association, affirmed that the fair will bring together the best judokas from 30 clubs in the country

With the participation of 350 judo athletes, with delegations from the United States, Puerto Rico and Haiti, the Naco International Judo Cup was announced, to be held on Saturday the 15th of this month at the Naco Sports Club, which will have a dedication to the Mrs. Viviana Raposo.

The details were announced by the immortal of Sport and director of Judo of the Naco Club, the sensei, Juan Chalas and Berta García, president of the Naco Judo Parents Association, at a press conference.

The Cup will be dedicated to Vivian Raposo, mother of one of the great judokas in the country, Juan Tavares, where she and her son took up judo along with other mothers and did a great job, hence the dedication.

Berta García welcomed those present and valued the unrestricted support given by the Club’s Board of Directors for the event, which will be a success, like all previous years.

“We thank Madeline Andino, first vice president of Club Deportivo Naco, Michael Alfaro, member of Club Deportivo Naco, Angel Serulle, president of the Judo Association of the National District for joining us today,” Garcia said.

Juan Chalas declared that the following clubs have already been confirmed from Puerto Rico: Aguada Judo Club, Carolina Training Center, Vaquero Judo Club and Nuevo Horizonte. Several clubs come from the United States and from Haiti.

From the country, athlete from Independencia, Azua, San Juan de la Maguana, Barahona, San Cristóbal, National District, Santo Domingo, La Romana, Monte Plata, María Trinidad Sánchez, Duarte, La Vega, Santiago, San Pedro, Monsignor Noel, and a preselection of Judo cadet and junior.
