Gold medal for Cristian Loi, Marika Mereu, Gabriele Esu and Simone Diana
Over 250 very young judokas from 23 clubs from all over Sardinia took part in Arborea in the first edition of the “GS Judo Terralba Trophy”, reserved for children aged 4 to 11.
Excellent results also on the mat for the organizing company, with sixteen athletes arriving on the podium in the various categories.
Cristian Loi, Marika Mereu, Gabriele Esu and Simone Diana won the gold. Second place for Daniel Garau, Gabriele Spanu, Andrea Meloni, Maira Pili, Nicolò Abbate and Giacomo Usai. Finally, bronze medal for Asia Casu, Viola Tocco, Giuseppe Ariu, Lorenzo Zanda, Micol Dessì and Francesco Italiano.
“I would like to thank all the parents and the little judokas who helped in the success of the race”, commented the coach Giovanni Spanu. “A special thanks also goes to 3A, which kindly offered its products to the participants”.
The next appointment is set for 22 October: the municipal gymnasium of Arborea will host the qualifications for the Italian championships in the Beginners B category.
“We will participate with two athletes: Gianluca Spanu in 46 kg and Alessio Loi in +81. We hope to snatch a ticket for the finals that will take place in Rome ”, concluded the Judo technician Terralba.
