In view of the November tour, the staff of the Blues have made several changes due to recent injuries.
The management of the XV of France has communicated the latest changes in the group of 42 who are called upon to prepare for the next tour in November. Jean-Baptiste Gros (21 selections, 22 years old, RC Toulon), Florian Verhaeghe (0 selection, 25 years old, Montpellier Hérault Rugby) and Romain Buros (0 selection, 25 years old, Union Bordeaux Bègles) are forfeited.
Clément Castets (0 selection, 26 years old, Stade Français Paris), Thomas Jolmes (2 selections, 27 years old, Union Bordeaux Bègles) and Louis Lebrun (0 selection, 20 years old, Castres Olympique) are selected. Gros was the victim on Saturday with his Toulon club of a fractured right forearm during a match of the 8th day of Top 14 against Castres. Buros, who had a shot to play in the absence of the usual Blues holder at fullback, Melvyn Jaminet, injured his thigh against Clermont, while Verhaeghe played the entire match in Montpellier on the ground of Racing 92.
Coach Fabien Galthié had already had to make a first adjustment in his initial list of 42 players during the week, replacing the third line of Pau Jordan Joseph, forfeited, by that of UBB Bastien Vergnes-Taillefer. As a reminder, the France team will face Australia (November 5 in Saint-Denis), South Africa (November 12 in Marseille) and Japan (November 20, in Toulouse).
