Judo: harmonizing training practices

On the evening of October 21, around thirty judokas met at the municipal dojo under the aegis of the Departmental Judo Committee. They came from the clubs of Montady, Villeneuve-lès-Béziers, Laurens and Thézan-lès-Béziers. The objective of this meeting was to discuss training methods, in order to harmonize the practices of the various clubs in the department.

The teachers were Gérard Gourdel, 4th dan black belt, and Régis Manibal, 6th dan black belt, both members of the departmental jujitsu commission. This first mass training should be repeated during the season in other clubs in the department.

Didier Galinier, president of the Ichiban Judo-Club specifies: “At the club, we have about 60 members, children, teenagers and adults and practitioners of taiso (Japanese gymnastics).” Training takes place on Mondays et fridays from 5:30 p.m. and Wednesdayfrom 7:30 p.m. Registration is still possible.
