Antananarivo, October 24, 10:15 a.m. – Time for the next phase. Freshly qualified for the second round of the qualification of the African Basketball League (BAL), the Elite 16, the National Police Sports Club is already revealing the points to improve to form a more competitive team. “At the Elite 16, there will no longer be an easy team”, recalls Jean De Dieu Randrianarivelo. To strengthen the team, “we are looking for a player over 2m to fill position 5”, said the COSPN coach at the end of the match against Kenya Port Authority on Sunday.
During the first qualifying phase, the Road to BAL of group D, which took place at the Palais des sports et de la culture de Mahamasina from October 21 to 23, the champion club of Madagascar in 2021 has already recorded four reinforcements. The performances of these players, Elly Randriamampionona from the National Gendarmerie basketball club, Anthony Nelson Severin Rasolomanana from Sebam Boeny, Jino Tsialefitra from Ascut and Ra’Shawn Langston from Denver Metropolitan University, were “satisfactory”, underlines the technician at the head of the COSPN team.
