Leandro Trossard and Kevin De Bruyne are nominated for the title of player of the month for October in England, in particular along with Erling Haaland. This trophy could be their first of its kind.
Author of a very big start to the season, Leandro Trossard has particularly stood out in recent weeks with five goals scored: three against Liverpool, one against Manchester City and another against Chelsea. Other named Devil, Kevin De Bruyne was often decisive with two goals and three assists.
In the list of nominees, they are accompanied by Erling Haalandalready winner of the prize in August, Kepa Arrizabalaga, Granit Xhaka and three Newcastle players: Bruno Guimaraes, Kieran Trippier et Michael Almiron.
On the Belgian side, “only” five Devils have already obtained this award: Marouane Fellaini in november 2012, Jan Vertonghen on March 2013, Christian Benteke in April 2015, Eden Hazard in October 2016 and September 2018 and Romelu Lukaku in March 2017. It would therefore be a first if Trossard or De Bruyne, who had been voted player of the year twice, were to be elected.
