For a short week, the Dijon TC was once again the crossroads of veteran tennis with its national tournament registered on the federal calendar. They were 160 participants, most of them licensed in distant clubs, globetrotters with tennis as the driving force.
Among the twelve singles finals, two Técedistes won in +45, Marie-Christine Stawiecki (15/4), for the ladies, and Bruce Roux (15/2).
Dense arrays
Several men’s tables (+45, +65, +70, +75) exceeded fifteen participants. The +50 was played between two Tourangeaux at 5/6, 4/6. It is the best ranked, Schuredevin who won in three sets. And what about the unusual score of, 0-6, 6-0, 10-5, in the women’s final +65 won by Toulonnaise Wherle (15/3)?
Some were only engaged in doubles, others competed in so-called consoling mini-tables. Everyone was able to find happiness in made-to-measure tennis.
