The organization of Behobia-San Sebastián 2022 recommends that all participants answer the signs and symptoms questionnaire before registering. This questionnaire has been prepared by the Behobia-San Sebastián Medical Advisory Committee based on the recommendations given on it by the Scientific Societies indicated above. The questionnaire must be answered with YES/NO answers by any athlete, without the need to go to the doctor.
The American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) recommends that a person can compete if they have trained at least three days per week, 30 minutes per day, at moderate or high intensity, for the past three months, and have answered NO to all the questions of the questionnaire. On the other hand, if you answer YES to the signs and symptoms questionnaire (questions 3 to 13), all Scientific Societies recommend that the athlete visit a sports doctor or cardiologist for a medical examination.
