Francisco Da Costa Aragão was born in Taquari, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil on May 5, 1995. He was trained in professional football with Athletico Paranaense, but failed to make his debut with the first team, being sent on loan four times. First with Inter de Lages, where he made his professional debut in 2015, and later in the same year he would move to Tombense. The following year he would play with Operário Ferroviário and with Esporte Clube São José.

In São José he played 11 games and scored a goal in 2016. In 2017, Da Costa had his first international experience, playing with Inter Playa del Carmen from Mexico, a club with which he played the first half of the Aztec second division scoring 10 goals. The Brazilian player will be the 13th born in that country to play with Atlético Nacional and it is expected that he will be the first to be champion with the purslane. Regarding the negotiation, it was learned by Bolívar that the exit clause was two million dollars, with which the purslane would have made a strong investment for a scorer they need for next year.
