South Africa have announced a change in the starting XV to face France on Saturday evening (9 p.m.) at the Stade Vélodrome: third-line center Jasper Wiese has not recovered from the concussion he suffered during the 19-16 loss to Ireland last week. He is replaced by Kwagga Smith as number 8 and Deon Fourie takes his place on the substitutes’ bench, announced the South African Federation (SA Rugby).
«We thought Jasper had a reasonable chance to play, but this is the first time World Rugby (the International Federation) intervened and classified this concussion as Category 1 according to its new protocols. We have to accept their decision“, said Rassie Erasmus, the director of South African rugby at a press conference.
