Miami Marlins is a team that will try to return to the front pages in Major League Baseball (MLB)after being left out of the fight for the World Series last October after a surprise campaign in 2020.

For that, decided to shake the bench and hire manager Skip Schumakerwho comes from Saint Louis Cardinals after exercising the role of bench coach. And to complement the hiring, the Marlins gave the same position to a Latino.

Colombian Luis Urueta will be the new Miami Marlins bench coach. “Pipe” was, in 2020, the first coach born in Colombia to act as manager in a Major League gameafter replacing the expelled Torey Lovullo on the Arizona Diamondbacks.

Very surely this step in his career will leave him out of the World Baseball Classic in 2023after leading Colombia to the 2017 edition for the first time in its history, where it achieved a historic victory against Canada.
