Jose Mourinho apologizes after receiving a red card

Jose Mourinho got a red card for excessive protest to the referee in the match against AS Roma against Torino. The Special One apologize for his actions.

Roma host Torino at the Stadio Olimpico in day 15th Italian League, Sunday (11/13/2022) night WIB. Both teams failed to score in the first half.

Torino broke the deadlock in the 58th minute through Karol Linetty’s goal. Disaster struck Roma one minute before normal time ran out.

AS Roma coach, Jose Mourinho, made a loud protest regarding several violations that were ignored by the referee. The tactician got a red card from the field court.

Roma got a penalty two minutes of injury time. Andrea Boletti who advanced as the executor failed to hit the ball from the penalty spot.

Nemanja Matic saved Roma from defeat two minutes later with his goal. The match ended 1-1.

Mourinho spoke about the red card he got in the Roma vs Torino match. He admits his mistake and apologizes.

“It was the right decision. My words to the referee deserved a red card,” Mourinho told DAZN.

“I spoke to him after the game and apologized, but I don’t want to talk about his performance. I’m humble enough to apologize, but I’ll leave his hypothetical performance and influence in the game up to you.”

“I don’t want to talk about what we said, it’s a personal thing. My words deserve a red card, but I will not judge the performance of the referee,” said Jose Mourinho.
